Daylight saving time and meeting time differences
The US and Europe switch clocks on different dates. The US moves to summer time on the second Sunday of March and back on the first Sunday of November. Europe moves on the last Sunday of March and the last Sunday of October. For a week or two each spring and autumn, the gap between New York and London is 4 hours instead of the usual 5, and the same shift applies to Chicago, Los Angeles, Paris, Berlin, and other US and European cities.
Cities without daylight saving time, such as Tokyo, Singapore, and Mumbai, shift against the US and Europe twice a year, and Sydney changes in October and April, opposite to the northern hemisphere. A recurring meeting can land an hour early or late after a change, so check the time difference on the date of the call.
